EmAGN NSW (formerly known as “DARCH”) is the Australian Institute of Architects NSW Chapter of the Emerging Architects and Graduates Network. It was established in 2005 to enable and encourage our demographic to contribute to the profession. We provide opportunities at a state and national level, and in particular for local initiatives.
EmAGN NSW is the NSW chapter of the National Emerging Architects and Graduates Network.
EmAGN NSW was formerly known as DARCH which was not an acronym. It is a name and a group that was intended to be more than a young architects’ group, to be a movement for change in the Institute and in architecture. In early 2017, DARCH was re-branded to EmAGN NSW to be in line with national branding of EmAGN.
EmAGN NSW aims to create a culture of architecture within our demographic, to contribute to the public discourse about our changing profession and changing environment, to support our members and to connect with other design professionals, artists, writers, and the public.
We hold a range of events including education, social, advocacy and talks & tours for emerging architects and graduates and have increasingly been networking with other professions within the built environment such as the Young Engineers Australia Sydney.
EmAGN NSW would love to have new members and new input. Please get in touch with us – details are on our Contact Us page.
