Basic shapes – powerful expression

Candio & Buettler is a young Zurich based studio for architecture and industrial design.

On Saturday the 20th of October, the new logistics support building designed by the studio for the Swiss brand Jura, was officially opened by Roger Federer (the linked article is in German). The tennis star is the patron of several established Swiss brands such as Jura and Rolex

Jura is currently best known for its fully automatic espresso machines. The `ENA-series` designed by the studio Candio & Buettler, received a `European Red Dot` award in 2008.

Australian architect Janine Campbell collaborated with Manuel Candio in the design of the 100m long facade that clads the new logistics centre.

The studio is also featured in the current edition of `Swiss Design`, featuring well-known brands such as Bally, Victorinox and Omega.
