William J Mitchell International Committee Prize 2016

Entries are now open. Please use the online entry system to enter or to nominate.

The William J Mitchell International Committee Prize is awarded annually in recognition of a significant contribution to architecture internationally. The prize seeks to honour Australians who have made a significant contribution to the profession, study or advancement of architecture beyond our shores.

Entrants may be of any nationality, based in Australia or overseas and an architect or allied professional. It is not essential to be an Institute member in order to enter this award. The entry cannot be a project, and although group entries are accepted, individual entrants are preferred.

Nominations may be received from the entrant, any Institute member or any member of the International Area Committee. Submissions must be made via the online entry system.

Entry material must demonstrate:

  • a significant contribution to architecture internationally (either over their lifetime or through a specific significant achievement), and
  • a significant connection with Australia (e.g. membership of the Institute, Australian born or citizen, worked or educated in Australia).

Judging of all nominations will be conducted by the International Area Committee at their annual face-to-face meeting.

Entries for the 2016 William J Mitchell International Committee Prize opened on 27th July 2015.

Entries close September 3rd 2015.
