Registrations Where can I find a copy of my tax invoice?

Once you have registered for the conference you will receive a confirmation email from info@tradevent.com.au. Please note that the email confirmation will be sent to the email address entered when registering for the conference. This confirmation email contains a link to your PDF tax invoice.

Will I be sent my conference pass/ticket in advance?

No, you will not receive a hardcopy conference pass/ticket prior to the conference.
However you will receive a registration confirmation email shortly after registering. This email will include a link to a printable registration barcode – please print this barcode and bring with you to the conference registration desk at the Perth Convention Centre, in order to speed up the registration process on the day.

Can someone attend the conference in my place?

Yes. If you are no longer able to attend the conference we may be able to transfer your registration to the name of to a colleague or friend free of charge, however you will need to email making@architecture.com.au and inform us of the change at least 14 days prior to the conference.

I can no longer attend the conference, can I get a refund?

All cancellations and refunds will incur an administration fee of $100. No refunds will be issued after 14 days out from the event, and the full registration fee will be forfeited. ‘No Shows’ to the event will be charged the full registration fee. All cancellations to a registration must be made in writing to the Australian Institute of Architects: making@architecture.com.au.

What information am I required to bring with me to the conference?

The confirmation email received shortly after registering, includes a link to a printable registration barcode – please print this barcode and bring with you to the conference registration desk at the Perth Convention Centre, in order to speed up the registration process on the day. Identification of the ticket holders name may also be required at the registration desk.

Can I purchase a half-day or 1 session only ticket?

No. Unfortunately we do not offer half-day tickets; you will need to purchase a Single Day ticket as outlined on the registration page. Please note as there is a significant discount for the SONA and student full conference ticket types, there will not be any single day tickets available.

How do ‘Flexi Tickets’ work and how do I manage them?

Flexi Tickets are fully transferable between different employees of the same practice, with the condition that only one person per Flexi Ticket purchased may attend the conference at any one time. The ticket can be left for collection, at the registration desk or you can arrange alternative transfer with co-workers. This ticket allows access to all conference sessions for one person per session, and one lunch on Friday and Saturday. If you would like more information on this ticket type, please email making@architecture.com.au.

I have registered online but haven’t received a confirmation email.

Please note that the email confirmation will be sent to the email address entered when registering for the conference. The confirmation email will be sent within 15 minutes of confirming your registration online.
As it is becoming increasingly difficult to send emails that do not end up in peoples JUNK/SPAM folders; if you do not receive the confirmation email please check your junk mail folder for an email from: info@tradevent.com.au, or add this address to your Safe Senders list. Please contact making@architecture.com.au if you still do not receive the confirmation.

Online registrations have closed, but I want to attend the conference.

Once online registrations have closed, the registration webpage will have a link to a downloadable PDF hardcopy registration form. Please print and fill this out with credit card details, and bring along with you to the conference registration desk at the Perth Convention Centre during registration times. Note, once online registrations have closed, we will not be accepting emailed registration forms either, therefore please just bring the filled in form with you on the day.

When will the conference registration desk be open during the conference at the Perth Convention Centre?

With over 1,000 delegates attending, it is important that you arrive with ample time to register and collect your conference pack. Registration will be at-event, with no registration items posted to you before the conference. 

To speed up your registration process please download and print the barcode supplied to you in your initial registration confirmation email from info@tradevent.com.au, and make sure you bring it along with you to the registration desk on arrival. If you cannot find this initial barcode email, don’t panic, please just arrive and state your surname at the registration desk.

Program Where can I find the latest conference program?

Visit the Program webpage of this website to view the latest conference program. Additional fringe events and tour information is also available on the Events webpage. You will also receive a program booklet at the conference upon registration.

How do I gain CPD points at the conference?

Visit the CPD webpage of this website to view more information on gaining CPD points while attending the 2014 National Conference. If you still have an enquiry, email continuum@architecture.com.au.

Will the conference sessions be recorded? How can I view the conference sessions after the event?

Yes. All conference sessions will be recorded. Many of the conference sessions will be made available for purchase after the event at www.continuum.com.au. For more information on accessing and purchasing the sessions in the months following the conference, email continuum@architecture.com.au.

Events Does my conference ticket include the Opening Party?

No. Your conference registration ticket price does not include entry to the Conference Opening Party. The Opening Party is an additional fringe event and has a separate cost associated with purchasing tickets. You can purchase Opening Party tickets through the same online registration link simultaneously when booking your conference registration, or at a later date.

I’ve purchased my conference ticket online and now wish to purchase Opening Party tickets, but the online system won’t allow me?

The online system will not allow someone with the same registration details register twice for the event. Therefore if you have registered for the conference and then go online to register again for Opening Party tickets, an error will appear preventing you to proceed. To fix this, please enter your surname followed by the number ‘1’ (ie. “Smith 1”) and proceed to book your tickets. If you are still experiencing problems, email making@architecture.com.au.

When will fringe events and tours be finalised, where do I find more information and how do I register?

Visit the Events webpage of this website for more information. The fringe events program is planned to include a number of events taking place all day Thursday and all day Sunday. Exhibitions, tours, workshops and other fringe events will be regularly updated onto the fringe events webpage throughout the months prior to the conference. Individual registration for these events will be required and accessible via the webpage. Please note some fringe events will have limited capacity and often sell out quick.

Miscellaneous What if I have special dietary requirements?

Is the Perth Convention Centre and theatre wheelchair accessible?

All public areas of Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre are wheelchair accessible. The Centre is also fully wheelchair accessible with compliant ramps and access ways from the Esplanade Busport and Train Station, Medina Hotel and Mill Street. I’m interested in volunteering at the National Conference, what do I do?

The Australian Institute of Architects call for a limited number of volunteers to assist at the National Architecture Conference. Volunteer tasks include; helping the Architext bookshop with setup and sales, satchel packing, registrations, general enquiries, assistance on Architecture tours, directing delegates, as well as general setup and tasks associated with the event. If you are an interested SONA or Institute member, please email making@architecture.com.au.
