Getting to
Perth
Fly to WA

There are regular flights to Perth from all major Australian cities and from many regional locations within the State. From Australia’s east coast capitals, Perth is approximately four hours by air. Domestic airlines operating services to Western Australia: QANTAS, Virgin Australia, Jetstar, Tiger Airways, Airnorth, Skywest Airlines (WA regional airline) and Skippers (WA regional airline). Perth Airport is located only 12 kilometres from the heart of Perth.

Drive to WA

Connecting WA to the rest of Australia, the Eyre Highway is one of Australia’s great road trips. The highway extends from Port Augusta in South Australia across the Nullarbor Plain to Norseman. The Savannah Way is one of Australia’s ultimate adventure drives, linking Cairns in Tropical North Queensland with the historic pearling town of Broome in Western Australia, via the natural wonders of Katherine in the Northern Territory. The Outback Way is also another discovery road trip extending 2,800km from Winton in Queensland to Laverton in Western Australia via Central Australia.

Train to WA

One of the most exciting ways to get to Western Australia is by rail. Perth is the western terminus for the legendary Indian Pacific rail service operated by Great Southern Rail, which spans the entire continent from sea to sea. The three day trip is one of the world’s great train journeys, and visitors can board the train in Sydney, Melbourne or Adelaide and travel across the country. Departing from the East Coast; witness the beauty of delightful vineyards, river lands and the expansive, table-top flatness of the Nullarbor Plain, travel on through the goldfields, rolling wheat lands and enjoy the hills surrounding the Avon River before pulling into Perth.Visit theAdvance booking website for more information.

Getting to the Convention Centre

Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre

is located in the heart of Perth city, adjacent to the Swan River. Our location provides quick and easy access to and from the Centre by car, train, bus, taxi and on foot.

Walk

Walking access into the Centre on Level 1 is via Mill Street or Mounts Bay Road. Level 2 can be accessed via the Esplanade Busport overpass.

Taxi

Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre is a designated Cab Spot location. A taxi phone is located at our Plaza Entry doors on Level 1. Our Cab Spot number is 1088. Alternatively, to book a taxi, please contact: Swan Taxis 13 13 30 or Black and White Taxis 13 10 08

Bus

Esplanade Busport is located adjacent to Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre. Many bus services depart and arrive at the Esplanade Busport including the free CBD ‘Blue CAT’ service. Perth’s other major busport is the Wellington Street Bus Station, located along Wellington Street next to the Perth Central train station. Esplanade train station is located at the doorstep of the Centre and services the Mandurah and Joondalup Railway Line.

Rail

Perth Underground station (Mandurah and Joondalup Railway Line) located on the corner of William Street and Murray Street Mall. Perth Central station (Armadale-Thornlie Railway Line, Fremantle Railway Line and Midland Railway Line) located along Wellington Street (across from Forrest Place). An underground walkway connects the Perth Central station to the Perth Underground station.

Ferry

A ferry service operates across the Swan River between Barrack Street Jetty (Perth) and Mends Street Jetty (South Perth). Barrack Street Jetty is only a short walk to the Centre. Parking There are approximately 5,000 car parking bays within a 10 minute walk of Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The City of Perth Convention Centre Car Park is located directly under the Centre. It holds over 1,500 parking bays and operates 24 hours, 7 days a week. This car park is accessible via Mill Street, Mounts Bay Road and the Riverside Drive off ramp of the Mitchell Freeway. Payment for parking can be made by cash, credit card or with the City of Perth Parking Card. Direct access to the Centre from the City of Perth Convention Centre Car Park is available during opening hours via our central foyer lift and two staircases.
