Join DARCH for a guided construction site walk as we visit the International Convention Centre Sydney… while under construction! The tour will focus on the architectural and sustainability features of the project as well as visit the Convention Centre, Exhibition Halls, and Theatre. Designed by HASSELL and Populous, get an insight into the design and delivery process, and the transformation underway across this 16 hectare site.
The tour will be led by Gordon Brown – Project Manager for ICC Sydney at LendLease.
Note: This is a construction site. Full PPE must be worn. All attendees are to wear steel capped boots, hard hat, high-vis vest, gloves, and protective glasses. Long sleeve tops and long pants must also be worn. Strictly no admittance without full PPE.

DARCH will be going on a guided walking tour of Barangaroo South lead by Avtar Lotay, Managing Director of Roger Stirk Harbour + Partners (RSHP) Australia which will examine the master-plan and urban planning principles that has guided the evolution of this key extension to the city. The walking tour will include key public domain spaces to explore the precinct’s urban fabric and master-plan response to the city context, and a presentation on the project’s design process.

Now in its fourth year, the DARCH Horse Awards recognises and celebrates outstanding contributions by non-architects in the pursuit of a high quality built environment.
The categories include:

- Specialist Contractor
- Urban Provocateur
This year we have updated the nominations process and split it into two stages:
- Stage 1 | Closes Fri 23 Oct: requires a 150 word nominations by the architect/designer.
- Stage 2 | Closes Fri 6 Nov: requires the nominee to complete the submission.
The awards will be presented on Wednesday 25th of November. We are excited to announce that this year, with the generous support of our Principal Partner AUSTRAL BRICKS, the awards presentation evening will be again held at Austral’s CBD Design Studio.
