hello; calling for newcastle committee members

DARCH, the Australian Institute of Architects NSW Chapter Emerging Architects and Graduates Committee, is looking for Newcastle-based committee members. Involvement in the Committee provides you with support and resources to engage and bring together the community of emerging architects and graduates in Newcastle; organising tours, talks, and social events to bring people together. We are looking for two emerging architects or graduates to work together to achieve this.

Being on the DARCH committee involves:

> A minimum commitment of 1 year
> Attendance or teleconference to the monthly DARCH committee meetings
> Representation and participation in the AIA Newcastle Division committee meetings and activities
> Coordination and organisation of at least 3 events a year (with DARCH support)
> Establishing a support base in Newcastle to enable a sustainable approach moving forward

GET:GOING Because Leadership Matters looks at what is going on with diversity and gender issues in architecture, how other professions have addressed this, and what can architects do to get:going on gender equity.
