Members may now nominate themselves or another eligible member for a position on the International Area Committee (IAC). Eligible members include Graduate Members, Member Level 1 Members, Fellows, Life Fellows and Affiliate Level 1 Members.
To nominate, log into the Online Nomination and Voting Service.
Please note that nominations can only be supported once the nominee has completed their online profile. Keep checking back periodically to see whether any of your colleagues have been nominated.
The IAC exists to develop the membership value proposition for international members, increase the connectivity between these members and the Institute and to showcase the work of Institute members practising abroad.
The IAC comprises 10 members in total. Each year 5 positions become vacant, encouraging new members to participate whilst allowing for corporate knowledge to be retained. Retiring members are invited to nominate for re-election. If we receive only 5 valid nominations for these positions, those members will automatically be appointed to the committee. If we receive more than 5 nominations, a ballot will be conducted to elect the committee members.
Nominations close at 4pm AEST on Tuesday 8 July 2014, but please nominate at least 72 hours before to allow time for eligibility verification and to gather support for the nomination.

Please note, the IAC will have their annual meeting on September 22nd 2014 in London and we ask that you make it a priority to attend this meeting if elected. The Institute will cover the costs associated with attending this meeting at its discretion.
If you want to get more out of your membership and contribute to the broader Institute, this could be a great opportunity for you.
This online voting system complies with the Institute’s Regulations for elections. Copies of relevant Institute Regulations which set out the rules are contained in the attached PDF files on the on-line nomination and voting website.
