Greetings once\u00a0again to all Institute members around the world.<\/p>\n
A very exciting & positive time for the International Chapter as\u00a0Chapter Council members prepare for the annual face-to-face meeting and planning workshop, which will be held in Singapore 20-21 July. The meeting will be a busy one as we continue our transition and preparations to operate, from 1 January 2019, as the Institute\u2019s newest chapter and to\u00a0determine our International engagement focus, in line with the Institute\u2019s 2018-2020 Strategic Plan priorities.<\/p>\n
Coinciding with this meeting will be another International Chapter Boarding Pass event to be held on Friday 20 July 2018. It will be held at the Australian High Commissioner\u2019s residence in Singapore and will feature the presentation of the 2018 International Architecture Awards including the\u00a0William J. Mitchell International Chapter Prize, which is awarded in recognition of a significant contribution to architecture internationally. The 2018 prize, which was announced at the Institute\u2019s recent National Conference on the Gold Coast, Australia, will be presented to this year\u2019s recipient,\u00a0 Dr Liu Thai Ker of Singapore.<\/p>\n
I am also happy to advise that due to the success and level of interest from International members and Australian architects practicing in the Middle East and North Africa region, a follow up Dubai Boarding Pass\u00a0event is currently being organised, together with generous assistance from our local partners, for the last quarter of this year.<\/p>\n
