Still to come, a host of Open House events around the country, including Tasmania, Perth and Queensland, as well as Design Canberra in November.<br \/>\nOur new campaign Where I\u2019d Like to Live shifts up a gear this week with the launch of a social media competition. We are inviting the public to share where they\u2019d like to live (and tell us why they want to live there) through Instagram, Twitter and Facebook for a chance to win a design delights package of homewears, appliances, books and magazines.<br \/>\nWe have also launched our <a href=\"http:\/\/wp.architecture.com.au\/awards-2015\/peoples-choice-award\/\" target=\"_blank\">People\u2019s Choice Award<\/a> as part of the National Architecture Awards program. Members of the public can vote for their favourite residential project from the 2015 National Architecture Awards shortlist. This year, 11 diverse and inspiring homes are in the running for crowd favourite.\u00a0The winning project will be revealed on Friday 30 October ahead of the National Awards, which are held on Thursday 5 November in Brisbane (<a href=\"http:\/\/wp.architecture.com.au\/awards-2015\/#tickets\" target=\"_blank\">tickets for the Awards presentation<\/a> event are now on sale).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Droga Architect in Residence<\/strong><br \/>\nThis month we welcome our newest Droga Architect in Residence, Nick Wood, to our shores. Nick is the founder and director of How About Studio, based in London. During his three month residency will present a range of talks, lectures and workshops around the country in addition to a research project focusing on the role of the awning in inner urban environments.<br \/>\nWood\u2019s work explores the intersection between art and architecture, with an investment in the fabrication process of combining craft and digital technologies to create new and engaging experiences. He has worked with large cultural institutions and international arts festivals to create a diverse portfolio of high quality interventions. Wood has been a visiting critic at a number of London schools and teaches at Brighton University.<br \/>\nFor more information, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.howaboutstudio.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">visit the website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Australia Award for Urban Design<\/strong><br \/>\nThe winners of the 2015 Australia Award for Urban Design were announced at the end of September, with Western Australian projects and programs taking two of five main awards.<\/p>\n<p>South Australia, Victoria, and Queensland also each take an award. Brookfield Place, an inner-Perth city block takes out the main gong \u2013 the award for a large scale delivered outcome.
