Its that time of year when we put a call out for members to get actively involved in Committees and Chapter Council! If you are interested in nominating for a Chapter Council position for 2019\/2020 you can do so online here.<\/a> Nominations must be completed by Friday 16th<\/sup> November.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We are also looking for members in the regional hubs to help represent their region on our 2019 Regional Affairs Committee,. This committee assists the Chapter in delivering CPD and events in each of our regions as well as deliver on advocacy specific to each region. If you would like to get involved please contact Madelynn in the office via EMAIL.<\/a><\/p>\n

We are actively encouraging members to get involved in the current Brisbane City Council Online Design Forum. This online forum is looking to define \u201cwhat elements of the building, site and streetscape of Queenslanders and other traditional designs are valued; what levels of protection are needed for different styles and in what circumstances, as well as the extent of change to these buildings is acceptable\u201d. Make sure you jump online via the Councils website and have your say HERE.<\/a><\/p>\n

Christmas is just around the corner, and that means our Annual Institute and EmAGN Christmas party is nearly here<\/strong>! This year is shaping up to be fantastic, we have booked the Triffid exclusively for a night of architectural festivity and the band is gearing up to get us all on the dance floor so now all we need is<\/strong> YOU<\/strong>! Tickets are $30 and include all drinks and food, plus we have prizes on the night for best individual and team Christmas outfits, as well as a photo competition for the best images highlighting the life of an architect.<\/p>\n
