This is about working together.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: black; mso-themecolor: text1;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: black; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">There are reasons why we are in the position we are in. There are reasons why state and local government procure projects in the manner that they do;\u00a0however,\u00a0we need to constructively find solutions to improve these processes in order for there to be a sustainable future for our built environment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: black; mso-themecolor: text1;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: black; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">Evidence based research is assisting with highlighting the pitfalls so that the holes can start being plugged. It is also about acknowledging the positive outcomes and experiences of our members and building on these.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: black; mso-themecolor: text1;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: black; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">On behalf of\u00a0the Victorian Chapter\u00a0I would like to thank those members who have given their time and professionalism to these issues.
