{"id":7337,"date":"2015-04-23T14:33:40","date_gmt":"2015-04-23T03:33:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wp.architecture.com.au\/news-media\/?p=7337"},"modified":"2016-05-30T14:14:35","modified_gmt":"2016-05-30T04:14:35","slug":"review-of-client-and-architect-agreement-2009","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wp.architecture.com.au\/news-media\/review-of-client-and-architect-agreement-2009\/","title":{"rendered":"Review of Client and Architect Agreement 2009"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Acumen Content Review Panel is facilitating the collection of members\u2019 feedback to inform the Institute\u2019s review of the 2009 Client and Architect Agreement (CAA2009) which has been scheduled for mid-2015.<\/p>\n<p>The CAA2009 is the Institute\u2019s standard-form client agreement, for projects of all sizes and complexity that sets out the contractual obligations and entitlements of the parties for the engagement of the architect.<\/p>\n<p>We seek comments, issues and advice on your general experiences, both positive and negative, with the current CAA2009 that may be considered in the 2015 review.<\/p>\n<p>For example:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The effectiveness of Section G3 Electronic Data Transfer &#8211; should a note on DWG drawing transfers be added?<\/li>\n<li>Your experiences in trying to limit liability under clause H2.<\/li>\n<li>Has the cost of works emphasis helped or hindered?<\/li>\n<li>Is the list of core services a help or hindrance?<\/li>\n<li>Are schedules easy to complete and explain to clients?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Please email any feedback to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">acumen.advice@architecture.com.au<\/span> by Friday 8 May 2015, 5.00pm<\/p>\n<p><em>We urge you to get in touch as your feedback is important.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Acumen Content Review Panel is facilitating the collection of members\u2019 feedback to inform the Institute\u2019s review of the 2009 Client and Architect Agreement (CAA2009) which has been scheduled for mid-2015.
