{"id":9821,"date":"2015-09-14T14:55:31","date_gmt":"2015-09-14T04:55:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wp.architecture.com.au\/news-media\/?p=9821"},"modified":"2016-05-30T13:51:43","modified_gmt":"2016-05-30T03:51:43","slug":"from-the-chapter-mon-14-sept","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wp.architecture.com.au\/news-media\/from-the-chapter-mon-14-sept\/","title":{"rendered":"From the Chapter &#8211; Mon 14 Sept"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Briefing for Draft Planning Legislation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Department of Planning, Transport &amp; Infrastructure (DPTI) is holding a series of industry briefings in relation to the draft planning legislation.<\/p>\n<p>This legislation is the culmination of the Planning Reform process.\u00a0 Instigated in 2013, this review of the planning system in South Australia aimed to address issues inherent in the current Development Act 1993 and to develop a new legislative framework that would be more responsive, efficient and adaptable into the future.<\/p>\n<p>The Institute has been an active participant in the planning review process, making a number of submissions to the expert panel.\u00a0 Institute members have their opportunity to hear about and comment on the proposed legislation on October 1.\u00a0 Numbers will be limited to 50 people, so book early to secure your place.<\/p>\n<p>Date: Thursday 1 October<br \/>\nTime: \u00a04:00pm \u2013\u00a05:30pm<br \/>\nVenue: SA Chapter &#8211; 100 Flinders St, Adelaide<br \/>\nRSVP: Monday 28 September by email <a href=\"mailto:sa@architecture.com.au\">sa@architecture.com.au<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Calling for submissions: &#8216;The Hero Shot\u2019 \u00a0exhibition<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fad.org.au\/#!the-hero-shot\/c1coj\" target=\"_blank\">&#8216;The Hero Shot&#8217;<\/a> is an exhibition in FAD15 celebrating the art of architectural photography.
