At all times the design considered passive surveillance throughout site.<br \/>\nAll buildings have been located and orientated to capture prevailing ocean breezes whilst avoiding afternoon sun. Open corridors on each level result in reduced energy costs by taking advantage of natural light during the day and removing the need for air-conditioning. Construction costs were kept low by using simple, readily available materials and familiar construction methods.<br \/>\nOther sustainability initiatives include the use of PE Cells.
