Toowoomba Grammar School Cricket Pavilion Additions
(PDT Architects) The cricket pavilion is a much valued addition to the community spaces of the Toowoomba Grammar school. Carefully sited, the pavilion respects the current built form of the school and provides a great outlook over the cricket oval and the Toowoomba suburbs.

Faith Lutheran College Library – Commendation & William Hodgen Award for Building of the Year
(Fulton Trotter Architects) This library addition to the college campus creates a much needed focal point for the school. It lifts the perception of the campus to a higher level. A multi -functional space has been added that connects to the rural landscape and creates a valuable and engaging covered gathering space as well.

7 Springs Medical Centre
(ELIA Architecture) 7 Springs medical centre is a building that accommodates a complex range of medical services and provides a unique facility in Toowoomba. The resulting design is considered, functional and well resolved.

Blue Care Community Care Centre Goondiwindi
(BAC Group Architects) A carefully sited community facility that has importantly provided a blue print for the client’s future regional respite centres. The building utilizes a domestic palette of colours, materials and built forms to offer the day visitors a familiar and hospitable environment.

M House
(ELIA Architecture) A small, well-considered house that captures the casual atmosphere of original Queensland verandas, allowing full appreciation of the site’s views and breezes. The sustainable nature of the design stays within the tight budget but provides a positive design solution that delights and engages the client.

USQ Toowoomba FoES Building
(Giarola Architects Pty Ltd) The laboratory radiates a vibrancy which is evident in the delight exhibited by its users. The well-considered northerly aspect and delicate use of natural light provides an inspirational workplace which serves as a benchmark to the future of the campus.

Thorn – Commendation & House of the Year
(aardvark) An engaging design for a contemporary family home. The use of a creative palette of natural materials, quality finishes and subtle colours has created successful and welcoming interior spaces. Natural heating and cooling has been achieved through the thoughtful placement of thermal mass and cross ventilation breeze ways.

St Alban’s Church – Enduring Architecture Prize
(Lund Hutton Newell Black & Paulson ) This is a remarkable building and stands the test of time with its materials and form and clearly demonstrates the power of architecture.

Toowoomba Grammar School Mackintosh House
(PDT Architects) Mackintosh House builds on the live in boarding history for Toowoomba Grammar students. This building continues the language of the school and creates a gathering and leisure space as well as connecting with open space at different levels.

Ipswich Government Office Building
(Cox Rayner Architects) As the first stage of the redevelopment of the Ipswich City Centre, this building has a strong commercial sensibility throughout the tower. While at street level the building edge is highly considered and skillfully executed in how it addresses the street frontages.

Blue Care Lockyer Community Care Centre Gatton
(BAC Group Architects) An effective response to the complex needs of respite facility. Its homestead-inspired form creates a warm and inviting character which breaks down the stereotype of an institutional facility. The design capitalizes on northern views to the surrounding mountain ranges providing a tranquil setting for visitors.
