Lauderdale Primary School \u2013<\/strong> Kinder & Classroom Additions<\/h1>\n

 <\/p>\n

The works at Lauderdale Primary School were undertaken to establish a new heart to the existing school. After the completion of a strategic master plan for the site (completed by Preston Lane Architects), a series of key strategies was identified to celebrate the beautiful coastal site, lush green grounds and improve the everyday functionality of the school.<\/p>\n

Sitting at the edge of the grounds, the new building provides a \u2018bookend\u2019 to the school \u2013 shielding the wider school and new outdoor learning areas from the adjacent and prominent South Arm Highway. The new building, comprising two new kindergarten rooms and one general learning area (GLA), is orientated to provide strong connections between early learning and older primary school year groups. Where previously the kindergarten was positioned at the \u2018back door\u2019 of the school, it is now located to celebrate the new learners and include them in the wider school dialogue.<\/p>\n
