An alternative pedagogy \u2013 one focusing on smaller classes, closer interactions between students and teachers, and collaboration and community \u2013 is the basis of a new diploma program now offered at Southern Christian College.<\/p>\n
Budget and time became the primary drivers for this project and, in response to both of these constraints, a large storeroom in the gymnasium was identified. The area to be fitted out was a mezzanine within a portal-framed COLORBOND\u00ae<\/sup> shed with exposed portal frames, galvanised purlins and Sisalation\u00ae<\/sup>.<\/p>\n The flexible collaborative learning spaces provided are dynamic, non-prescriptive and allow students and teachers to adapt and use them as they see fit. The hill that divides the volume deliberately challenges the traditional classroom typology in an attempt to breakdown long-held associations and set up a flexible attitude to senior secondary learning.<\/p>\n Architects<\/strong><\/p>\n S.
