It\u2019s a home in which to connect with the land, to watch the weather and the stars, and to welcome visiting family members. The house is positioned with the contours of the hill, overlooking the beautiful D&#8217;entrecasteaux Channel, facing north for all-day sun. It has a sheltered outdoor entertaining area with a large circular skylight and an outdoor fireplace to keep warm by.<\/p>\n<p>The house is 9-star energy rated, highly insulated and low maintenance, keeping ongoing costs to a minimum. The elegant and durable material palette includes concrete, steel, lime-rendered masonry and Tasmanian timbers. Custom-designed cabinetry and shelving in timber and steel is located throughout the house.
