The Edmund Wright Trail
July 21 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
Edmund Wright House, the old Bank of South Australia, on King William Street symbolises a turning point in saving heritage buildings in Adelaide. Our sense of home is intimately connected to their continuing presence and the history they hold.
This guided city walk with Keith Conlon, Chair, South Australian Heritage Council, visits several state heritage treasures associated with the architect, Edmund Wright, including the Adelaide Town Hall, his first major project, the GPO, Edmund Wright House and his grandest work, Parliament House.
Predictably, these buildings also tell us about South Australia’s rises and falls in fortune.
