The National Architecture Awards have been held annually since 1981.  The Awards recognise and celebrate outstanding achievements and excellence in architecture and the event is sure to be a wonderful occasion.

The 2017 National Architecture Awards will be held at the Albert Hall, Canberra, on Thursday 2 November.   Arrival drinks will be followed by the awards presentation hosted by Hamish Macdonald, Australian broadcaster & foreign correspondent. Hamish has a long record working across international and Australian media, covering conflicts, revolutions, disasters, elections along with some of the major issues of our time, like housing affordability.

Celebrations will continue next door at the Lavender Courtyard, Hyatt Hotel.

Terms & Conditions
Tickets are transferable so if you are unable to attend, you are welcome to send a substitute guest. All cancellations or changes to a registration must be made in writing to the Events Team c/- Australian Institute of Architects

All cancellations and refunds will incur an administration fee of $50.00, no refunds will be issued within 14 days before the event. ‘No shows’ to the event will be charged the full registration fee.

 

 

 

Venue

The Presentation will take place at The Albert Hall, 100 Commonwealth Avenue, Yarralumla, the after party to follow at the Lavender Courtyard, Hyatt Hotel, 120 Commonwealth Avenue.

 

 

transport and parking

Buses connect city and suburban areas daily from Commonwealth Avenue, directly outside the hotel. Canberra International Airport is 9 km or 10 minutes by road from the Albert Hall and Hyatt Hotel.  Located within the Parliamentary Triangle the Albert Hall and Hyatt Hotel are easily accessible by car and taxis. Off street parking is available close to the venues for approximately 200 cars.  Taxis are also readily available.
