Kingston Beach Dental
Kingston Beach Dental is relocated to a retail strip within the shopping district in Kingston to provide care oral health care to the community. The typical clinical typology has been rethought and redefined to change the spatial experience for the occupants with increasing levels of ease.
The new shopfront is situated facing the car park as opposed to the default position towards the main street. The back-of-house area is activated by the rear shopfront, while north-facing frontage benefits from abundant natural lighting. Inspired by Scandinavian style, the interior is clean and minimal. Timber and white surfaces set a consistent palette throughout to create a calming and warm experience. Conventional assembled elements like timber-clad walls and raking ceilings are cleverly used to mold a ‘beach house’ structure as a vernacular reference, playfully intertwining the public waiting space, back-of-house and surgery rooms.
